Gina Gregory, one of three sponsors on the resolution creating the group, said the committee’s job isn’t to tell council members how to vote, it’s to help them interpret the city’s complex budgets and audits.

The arrests by the Baldwin County Drug Task Force came after an undercover operation lasting several months. The operation was named “New Year’s Resolution,” according to a statement issued Thursday by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
