Capt. James Edward Barry, age 92, died on Friday, January 13, 2012. Barry was born on February 22, 1919, in Whistler, Alabama. He was the son of Joseph Edward Barry and Tillye Thompson Barry. His obituary says he graduated at the age of 16 from Murphy High School in the Class of 1935.
